Day in the life of a stylist

Easter weekend in the salon

Good Friday-
My mum came in for a cut and bouncy blow dry.she has never had curly hair before and was delighted with the amount of volume she got.

I then did a colour change and restyle. My client wanted to stay blonde but to add a few tones. As for her cut, as long as you can see her earrings she was happy. Here are the results.

My next client wanted a full head of high lights and her hair cut into a concave bob.

Saturday-
I did a child’s dry trim followed by a gents dry trim and then two colours.

The first colour was a root tint with a cut and we added a full blunt fringe.

My second colour was to tone down a bright red. I added an light ash brown to help kill the red tones but to still leave the colour warm. I kelp a few red bits in the hair to keep it broken up.

Easter Sunday-
I had the dreaded bug. But I managed to go and visit my beautiful in laws Lucy and Joe in their gorgeous new home.
I then went to Amanda’s house to help out with hair and makeup for her photo shoot.

Here is what we did for her “Tinkerbad” shoot.

In the mean time, hope you all have a great brake whatever you get up to!

What a weekend!

As you all are probably aware Fridays and Saturdays are mad in the salon.friday I turned client Lisa blond (high lights) after a good few months of being dark.

I then did an all over colour (with cut) and then a root tint and blow dry.

Saturday started with taking Linzi (last weeks bob) shorted at the back to give a concave bob.

Next was an all over colour and blow dry and then high lights.

I have no pictures as I was just too buzy.

On Saturday afternoon, team JB went out to celebrate Emily’s progression to stylist.

We went for late lunch to Sugar Rays (the food was amazing) then went to a bar for a few drinks and then onto the ice bowl for some extreme bowling!

Extreme bowling is in the dark with uv lights so the balls and pins light up!here are some pics from our night out!

As you can tell we had a great night and I even fell and cut my knees lol

A few months ago, I was asked by my school friend Amanda, if I would help her out with hair and makeup for a photo shoot for her final year project.

Yesterday was the day it happened. Here are the pictures from the “Ice Queen” photo shoot.
