Today has been busy. I organised one of my best friends to come over and wall paper for me (thank you Graeme)
Then Fae and I got a hair cut!! I now have a proper bob!!!
I love my new do!and to have an actual style feels great (thank you Emily)
And then my friend Amanda, the kids and I went for a walk to the walled garden and play park. It was so good to get outside and the kids to run around in the sun!
The kids pictures were taken by Amanda! You should check her out on Facebook-A Ewart photography.
As you all are probably aware Fridays and Saturdays are mad in the salon.friday I turned client Lisa blond (high lights) after a good few months of being dark.
I then did an all over colour (with cut) and then a root tint and blow dry.
Saturday started with taking Linzi (last weeks bob) shorted at the back to give a concave bob.
Next was an all over colour and blow dry and then high lights.
I have no pictures as I was just too buzy.
On Saturday afternoon, team JB went out to celebrate Emily’s progression to stylist.
We went for late lunch to Sugar Rays (the food was amazing) then went to a bar for a few drinks and then onto the ice bowl for some extreme bowling!
Extreme bowling is in the dark with uv lights so the balls and pins light up!here are some pics from our night out!
As you can tell we had a great night and I even fell and cut my knees lol
A few months ago, I was asked by my school friend Amanda, if I would help her out with hair and makeup for a photo shoot for her final year project.
Yesterday was the day it happened. Here are the pictures from the “Ice Queen” photo shoot.
Our beautiful model is our friend Emma Hardy and looks stunning in these pictures!
What do you think? If you want to check out any more of Amanda’s work here is her Facebook page here
There will be a few more photo shoots in the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled.
Thaw past two days have been crazy! I love being busy as the day goes in a blink of an eye.
Yesterday I did a t bar high lights, root tint and half head high lights.3 blow dries and a colour change.
The colour change has been in process for a few weeks. The pictures below show my before and after from today although the camera doesn’t pick up how red her hair was.
She was very please with her little mermaid locks!
Today I did a root tint and part line high lights,a colour correction and another root tint and part line high lights. These were finished with 2 cut and blow dries and one blow dry. I also squeezed in a child’s dry trim.
This is the colour correction I did. My client had red hair and the high lighted it and it left her with orange red and purple tones.
I used an ash based tint on her roots to ends and put a few high lights in her t bar which I then emulsified when washing.
As you can see Linzi then went for the chop and got a sexy bob! Her hair is in great condition now and now we have neutralised most of the red tones we have a better base to build up her high lights.
The bob is coming back this season and with so many variations of the “bob” there really is one for everyone!
It was a busy day in #jbhair. Today I did a full head of high lights ti make my client a lot more blonde. While her colour was developing,I did a wash and blow dry then a cut and blow dry in my high lights.
After this I neutralised a girls red hair making it a medium ash brown.then put a few slices of caramel through the under sections.
While that was developing I did a dry trim on a little girl. She got her hair cut from down her back to just below her shoulders. She was so well behaved and a real delight to work with.
I then did a cut and finish on my colour.
I was really busy today but it was great and the day flew in! I have been doing the 30 day shred so blow dry, my arms are KILLING me!!
Well tomorrow will be fun as I am even busier! I’ll try and get some pictures!
