Day in the life of a stylist

Easter weekend in the salon

Good Friday-
My mum came in for a cut and bouncy blow dry.she has never had curly hair before and was delighted with the amount of volume she got.

I then did a colour change and restyle. My client wanted to stay blonde but to add a few tones. As for her cut, as long as you can see her earrings she was happy. Here are the results.

My next client wanted a full head of high lights and her hair cut into a concave bob.

Saturday-
I did a child’s dry trim followed by a gents dry trim and then two colours.

The first colour was a root tint with a cut and we added a full blunt fringe.

My second colour was to tone down a bright red. I added an light ash brown to help kill the red tones but to still leave the colour warm. I kelp a few red bits in the hair to keep it broken up.

Easter Sunday-
I had the dreaded bug. But I managed to go and visit my beautiful in laws Lucy and Joe in their gorgeous new home.
I then went to Amanda’s house to help out with hair and makeup for her photo shoot.

Here is what we did for her “Tinkerbad” shoot.
