Can’t even type much!

Not much typing this week! So it’s only a few pics from last week in the salon!

Training day and date!

So today in training a added more blonde to Ambers hair and then gave her pastel pink highlights and a bouncy blow dry!

The with a child free afternoon me and the hubby went on a date!

First stop was little wing pizzeria in Bangor! We had the midweek special of a pizza and desert and a drink for £11.95

I had the spinach and egg pizza and Gerard had the picante. We both had a peroni beer and for desert I had roulade and Gerard had chocolate cake. It was as yummy as always!

We then went to the cinema to see 22 Jump Street!

It was light hearted comedy and everything you expect from the movie is for filled.

We then picked up our girls. After they went to bed I got the chance to try out my Jessica fusion nail treatment to help my nails stop peeling.i have had one application of it a few days ago bit today I added some colour on top. The pink, blue and orange are all from the Jessica range, the silver/metallic lilac is by Barry Mandy the red it by 17.

Hopefully in the coming weeks I’ll notice a difference in my nails.

Also in work I got my fringe cut back in!

Today I am doing a wella training day in the salon (jacqui bothwell) so I will hopefully have some new products to tell you about over the coming days!

Last weeks hair in pictures

Training-Vintage style

Today in training I coloured and cut Jan’s hair. She hadn’t had it don’t in some time so I put an all over colour a a few highlights in to break up the solid colour.

I cut and thinned out her hair as her hair is very thick! She loved her shorter and fresher look.

Then I had Sarah in for a vintage upstyle! As you know this is something I have been trying to improve upon. Here is what my inspiration was.

And this is what I did.

I know I have to work on finishing off my vintage look and making it smoother and more polished but I was very pleased with how it turned out and I am getting more confident with victory rolls.

Weekend Wedding fever!

On thursday and Friday I was super busy as I was at a wedding on Saturday so wasn’t in work.

Both days were mostly colours with cuts and blow dries.

On Friday night it was my uncles 50th Birthday party. After work I had a shower and got ready! My bestie Zane looked after the girls and me and Gerard headed out! Here’s the night!

On Saturday morning I went to work as normal but this time I was in the chair and got an amazing up style by the wonderful Dawn.

I wore a 50s style dress and petticoat and blue heels. The wedding was in larne and was preformed by a bishop.

After the service we went and met out internet friends Emma and John (mr and mrs heels) and had a few drinks and lots of fun.

The reception was in the Culloden hotel. On our way I found a roundabout with a crown! Being Queenie, I HAD to take a pic!

Today I have been so tired but manage to go for lunch with my family and then get some ice cream 🙂

Kelly Osborne’s hair through the ages

I have always been a massive Kelly fab!i loved her look even when she had the black and pink hair right until now when she is lilac!

Here are some of the “Do’s” she has had! What one is your fave?

Can’t wait to see what she will do next but Kelly, undercuts are a bad choice! I have spent the last year growing mine out!

Vintage Queenie

As you all know, vintage hair scares me. I have been practicing vintage hair up styles for the last few weeks on my training days.

I will never be the Queen of vintage but i will try my hardest to crack it.

Yesterday our lovely friend JoJo came in for me to practice on.

With help from my mentor, and ever patient teacher, Tina, here is what we did.

Two victory rolls and pin curls.

JoJo has amazing hair and was an honour to do her luscious locks.

Here are some vintage styles I’ll be trying out over the next weeks.

Training day

Today is my training day in the salon. I did one vintage upstyle and one colour, but n blow dry.

I am scared of vintage hair. I am not confident in it at all and even less so when I had someone point out how terrible I was at it.

Nicole was very nice and supportive and even when I was shaking with fear she just let me get on with what I was doing.

I did two victory rolls and bouncy curls. The tools I used were GHDs, tail comb, hair pins and hair spray.

Then Michelle, who does nails in our salon, came in for a colour.

I used a wella colour in intense light mahogany red brown with purple mix tone and slices of plum magma. I trimmed up the back and blended into the sides as she wanted to keep then quite long. Here is the result.

Look how beautiful and shiny her hair is. I have to say that Tina helped me out quite a bit, but that means good learning for me!
